It all started with a group of kids from Akron, all committed to something bigger than themselves. The story of the Fab Five is coming to screens soon in the film Shooting Stars, but first, it had to premiere where it began – in Akron.
With the red carpet rolled out at the LeBron James Family Foundation’s House Three Thirty, the community got to experience the journey of LeBron and his best friends, who also happened to be one of the best high school basketball teams of all time. The full day of showings began with the St. Vincent – St. Mary community and continued with the I Promise School, I Promise Network, LJFF partners and local officials. The final screening included four of the Fab Five, Coach Dru and their entire families. Watching them take pictures on the red carpet, sharing the moment with each other and their community, was a moment we’ll never forget.
