Love at House Three Thirty

As we work around the clock to get House Three Thirty ready for our community, we have an exciting window to begin testing our venue’s capabilities and perfecting our processes. House Three Thirty’s very first, very big test came this past weekend with a wedding for one of our very own.

The LeBron James Family Foundation’s newest We Are Family Coach and one of LeBron’s lifelong friends, Willie was set to marry his bride Sara and they chose House Three Thirty as the place to celebrate their special day. Recognizing it as both a work in progress and a place of promise, it was at our new home here in Akron, in front of their family and friends, that they would bring everyone together.

It was a weekend of looking back at a storied legacy, and jumping forward into a new future together. And we loved every family-focused minute of it.

To make their day as perfect as possible, we rallied Team LJFF and our 330 Ambassadors to be servers, runners, parking attendants, dish washers, and doers of all things necessary to pull off their big day.

At the end of the night, everyone went home happy for the new couple and hopeful for House Three Thirty’s incredible future in hosting community events.

The weekend continued with more St. V love as Coach Dru Joyce had the court at LeBron’s alma mater dedicated in his name. With all of the Fab Five on hand to celebrate their coach’s running legacy, the freshly re-finished Coach Dru Joyce Court was revealed inside LeBron James Arena back at the place where their basketball journey took flight.

It was a weekend of looking back at a storied legacy, and jumping forward into a new future together. And we loved every family-focused minute of it.
