After a fun and learning-filled summer, our I PROMISE School students are back in class this week. For 120 of our newest class of I PROMISE third graders, that meant being welcomed into their new school home by their new family for the first time. And at IPS, every day is anything but ordinary. Day one saw the sidewalks of IPS lined by I PROMISE School staff and teachers from every grade level, LJFF team members, and supporting partners. It also meant a special visit by Ms. Gloria James to every classroom, where she offered exciting, inspiring words for our students.
As part of a new welcoming process this school year, our third graders got to spend time with not just their own teachers, but teachers from higher grade levels as well.
