We Are Family Reunion

It’s the day we look forward to every single year. With the thrilling rides of the rollercoaster capital of the world as our backdrop, it’s the event that brings together our thousands of family members for a day of fun and celebration. Most importantly, it’s time with our families and partners we cherish so much. Welcome to the annual LJFF We Are Family Reunion!

The setting is Cedar Point, where our Cedar Fair family led by Sharon, Carrie and Jason, roll out the red carpet for our families. From free admission to the amusement park and its adjoining waterpark to a full day of rides and entertainment with lunch provided by LJFF, capped off by Cedar Point’s nightly 150^th Anniversary celebration programming, it’s a day of fun our families have come to look forward to every Summer.

And this year, our more than 10,000 family members were happy to take it all in as we got to enjoy some quality time catching up with our I PROMISE students and their families. Joining us in making this day special was Ms. Gloria James, who spent hours walking through the park, talking to families and riding rides alongside them. This day was also an opportunity to thank the partners we’ve grown to call family over the years. To celebrate them and all they do for our families day in and day out, this year we added a reception to share this special time and honor this incredible movement with them.

The Family Reunion would not be possible without the support of Team JPMorgan Chase, who supply a force of over 250 volunteers to help make check in for our thousands of families a smooth and seamless process.

And of course, the day would not be complete without the brand new We Are Family shirts we all wear with so much pride. The new purple colorway created a violet wave across the park that we’re excited to spread across northeast Ohio when everyone heads home to Akron after another incredible We Are Family Reunion.

Today and every single day, we are humbled, we are honored and we are grateful to work alongside these incredible people. Here’s to kicking off another exceptional school year, where we’ll roll with the highs and the lows together. Because family sticks together.
