A new Nike ad featuring LeBron James highlights the superstar athlete’s work at the I Promise School in Akron.

The ad, released Thursday morning on YouTube, shows scenes from the opening of the school two years ago and the exterior of the building, as well as news coverage of the school’s first round of test scores.

It also features early footage of James playing basketball at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and for the Cleveland Cavaliers, as young children watch him on television.

In the ad, James notes stories of “humble beginnings” are “supposed to be the stories of determination that capture the American Dream.”

“They’re supposed to be stories that let you know these people are special,” James says. “But you know what would be really special? If there were no more humble beginnings.”
