It’s a brand new year and the LeBron James Family Foundation will continue working day in and day out to change lives and uplift our community one student and family at a time. We’re excited for all the work and impactful moments coming ahead in 2024!

We’re starting the new year off with a bang, with Nike releasing the Nike LeBron NXXT Gen shoes that our I Promise School student athletes helped design! Team members from the

girls and boys basketball teams, step team and cheer squad worked with Nike designers to come up with the designs and color pallet, sharing their sketches, feedback and ideas in a creative working session at the I Promise Institute in Akron. The shoe, which features an 'I Promise' tag and the LeBron James Family Foundation logo on the insoles, will be released this week on January 5^th.

We’re excited for all the work and impactful moments coming ahead in 2024!

This is the latest colorway of LeBron’s signature Nike shoe line to involve his I Promise students, who have been collaborating with Nike to design shoes since 2015.

We’re also excited about the release of LeBron’s next children’s picture book, I Am More Than on April 2^nd of this year. The follow-up to our New York Time’s bestselling I Promise, this book builds on LeBron’s longtime commitment to reading – a nod thousands of visitors have witnessed in the LeBron James Home Court museum at House Three Thirty. We hope this book continues to inspire students and families all over the world. I Am More Than is available now for pre-order here.

2024 will also bring the grand opening of I Promise HealthQuarters, LJFF’s community health and wellness center located directly across the street from House Three Thirty. This vital space is set to offer I Promise families and the Akron community medical, dental, optometry, and mental health supports along with on-site pharmacy and lab services in collaboration with AxessPointe and Coleman Health Services. As the I Promise footprint continues to expand in the heart of Akron, we’re working hard to provide the resources our families tell us are most important to them. 

We’re entering a new year with so much excitement and gratitude for the work we get to do to set families up for success this year, and every year.
