👑 House Rules

Family is everything. Listen and respond. Keep your promises. At its core, those are the House Rules of the LeBron James Family Foundation that pour into everything we do as we serve families. Every family's rules are different, but the goal is always to achieve maximum performance for everyone represented in that home. This week at the I PROMISE School, House Rules take on a whole new meaning as the school continues to find new ways to connect with and engage its students.

Channeling inspiration from other educators and academic models across the country, the I PROMISE School leadership is preparing to install a new House System that sorts students and staff into houses that represent different ideals - all with the goal of fostering creativity, collaboration, and community within the entire school. With IPS staff and LJFF team members getting sorted this week, the House system is officially in full effect. We can't wait to see the magic that comes from this fresh IPS take on a proven academic tradition. 

One of our I PROMISE Network students, Madison, recently got to experience the magic of live television and broadcast journalism thanks to our partners at WKYC. As part of her time behind-the-scenes, Madison got to tour the station, meet the anchors, and take in a live taping from the control room. This invaluable experience was meant to help her understand more of the industry and opportunities she plans to explore this year at Kent State University.

Over at House Three Thirty, there is more magic happening in the Sweet Shop with the debut of the latest Sundaes Best menu addition, the l Am S'more Than sundae. The mouthwatering, brownie-based creation comes complete with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, crushed graham crackers, chocolate chips, whipped cream, and a lightly torched marshmallow on the top. It's a dessert experience you don't want to miss, so come get a taste during House Three Thirty's new Fall hours (Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm).

Once you've tried the I Am S'more Than sundae, you'll likely be inspired to read its namesake children's book written by LeBron, I Am More Than, which is avallable down the hall at House Three Thirty's Retail Shop.
