👑 Big Dreams Coming to Life 2

I PROMISE... to go to school, to do all my homework, to listen to my teachers because they will help me learn, to ask question and find answers, to never give up no matter what, to always try my best, to be helpful and respectful to others, to live a healthy life by eating right and being active, to make good choices for myself, to have fun and ABOVE ALL ELSE... to FINISH SCHOOL! It seems like just yesterday that Arianna recited those powerful words for the very first time in East CLC as part of the very first class of I PROMISE students. And this past weekend, we celebrated Arianna walking across the stage as the 1st woman and 2nd Kent State I PROMISE College Graduate. As a third grader, she dreamed of becoming an astronaut. She worked hard along the way to keep her PROMISE, and a new dream was born as she pursued a degree in Early Childhood Education.

You just never know where a PROMISE will take you! We could not be more proud of this kid from Akron who made a commitment to us in 2011, earning everything she has achieved each step of the way. Arianna, it's been an honor watching you represent Akron as an I Promise Student, 330 Ambassador, Kent State University Graduate and now, soon-to-be teacher.

There's no doubt you'll impact your future scholars' lives the way you impacted ours.

We were proud to celebrate not just one but two college graduate kids from Akron this weekend. Former 330 Ambassador and LJFF Team Member, Nya Booker, worked hard, kept her PROMISE and graduated with a degree in Visual Communication Design. She is truly a role model to so many young aspiring students here in Akron. NyNy... you make us proud to say WE ARE FAMILY!!!
