What a spooktacular Halloween it was in I Promise Land! Bringing the treats and scares to life on LeBron’s favorite holiday is something our kids look forward to, and this year was one for the books.

For our middle school students and a select group of our promise-keeping high schoolers, we revived the Halloween spirit at a special LJFF-hosted, private visit to The Haunted SchoolHouse in Akron, where there was a surprise lurking around every corner. For hundreds of our I Promise students and their families, the screams were (almost) always followed by big smiles after surviving the haunted attraction.

At the I PROMISE School, team LJFF transformed IPS into Halloween Land complete with a haunted maze and trick or treating down every hall.Once our students survived the spooks and scares of the haunted maze in the gym, they made their way through the classrooms where their teachers and staff handed out candy of every kind.

Bringing the treats and scares to life on LeBron’s favorite holiday is something our kids look forward to, and this year was one for the books.

On their way out the door, every family received a dozen of Lerch’s Donuts to keep the celebration going all Halloween weekend long. It was a blast to catch up with Ms. Gloria James, who loves spending time with our families, and we even learned her favorite candy (you’ll have to follow @ipromiseschool on Instagram to find out!).

The festivities continued at the I Promise Village with a full-on Halloween fest that included a family meal, painting, outdoor games, a decorated door tour, and of course, trick or treating. Thank you to our family at JOANN for helping make this frightful and fun afternoon possible. 

We loved seeing our students and families dressed up in their costumes and having the best time during the spookiest season of all.
