Back To It!

In the midst of one of the most challenging periods we’ve ever experienced as a nation, students everywhere continue to persevere. And our I PROMISE kids in Akron, well they go above and beyond. They problem solve. They have perspective. They are good partners. And they are perpetually learning. Armed with their Habits of Promise, they are back from break and continuing to persevere, no matter what life throws their way.

For our oldest I PROMISE students, that is their second semester of their very first year of college.

They’ve pushed through adjusting to life on a big campus, and are still chasing their higher education dreams. Balancing school alongside jobs, family, friends, and their work in the community is anything but easy, but they are embracing the challenge head on. Our on-campus I PROMISE Institute is buzzing with activity and open for anything they need to support them and their families along the way.

Because being a student, being part of a family, and being accountable to your promises is a tall task. It takes commitment, courage, and a lot of hard work to carve out a better future for yourself and those around you. But our I PROMISE students and families are up for it. We promise.
